Ok i was thinking about the spring uprade, however i dont currently have time to do this (i think it may take me the best part of a day to do the upgrade) and although this will increase fps not too sure how this will improve range and accuracy.

Anyway money has been put aside for an easy upgrade, and i am buying a tight bore inner barrel, as this should help with the accuracy issue. However i just realised I am close to pay day.

Now i have promised my partner not to spend any more money on airsoft for a while but i am kind of thinking of a silencer, with the idea of fitting a longer inner barrel.

Now for the question. Which silencer and how long will can my inner barrel be.

I have a g36c, and like the fact the barrel is not very long and suits CQB very well. I don't want to extend it too much possible 3 to 4 inches. anyone got a good suggestions on a combo of barrel and silencer. Preferably ones that are on the fire-support site, as this is where i will be purchasing from.

Ok, how much will that add to the barrel length?

It's 19.5cm long... I tried it on Sunday on the M14, but it just added extra length that really, the gun could have done without... it will end up needing a wheel on the end or something.

hmm by my calculations it would mean the 247mm g36 inner barrel (wow did not realise it was that small) could be replaced with a 442 mm inner barrel

Just looking now for the closest match, with the extra size i would have to get a 455 mm AK47 barrel and trim this down or go with a Systema 369mm HK51 barrel this would save the hassle of cutting it.

Too many options now. Oh would the silencer fit the G36 without the use of an adapter?

Silencer will screw straight onto the G36 no problem. I'd go for the HK barrel, as if you damage the other one at all in cutting it down, it can affect BB flight path, doesn't take much... if a little bit of dirt down the barrel can affect it.

Is that a tightbore too?

Well i've finally done it.

HK51 barrel fitted with a silencer to hide it.

Chronoed the G36c with the Combro CB-625 Chronograp (see review) at 264-267 fps before the upgrade, and 285-287 fps after Very Happy

I love it, wow g36's really are kool, But unless tha chancelors new budget for tha forces include new small arms, which becuase of tha fact that some smartass decided that we should upgrade tha existing L85 And Sa80 rifles, which are a bunch of sh*t when it comes to reliability, It look like Im gunna have to wait til 2015 till I get my hands on one, By which time that won't really matter becuase hopefully I'll be in tha SAS or SBS by then.
